When performing a quick
search, the system searches all products within the selected group. Simply
enter the ticker and/or portfolio on which you want to search. If you select
the Commingled Research option in the Product Menu, you receive
Notes, Research Direct, and BondCall headlines.
- Ticker/Company
You can specify any number of tickers (company symbols), separated by
a space or a comma, or you can type a company name.
Note:
If you enter a company name, you must change the symbol set to Company
Name.
- Primary Ticker
Select this to indicate that the ticker(s) you entered is the primary
ticker. A primary ticker indicates the most relevant ticker that is
indexed in a note or document.
Important: Not all historical
documents are indexed by primary ticker. When a primary ticker is not
available, the system uses the first indexed ticker as the primary ticker.
- Symbol Set
Specifies the symbol set in which to search. If you do not wish to specify
a symbol set, you may select All Symbol Sets. This produces
results form all symbol sets that match the ticker you entered.
Note: If you enter a company
name in the Ticker/Company box, you must select Company Name
in the Symbol Set box.
- Portfolio
If you want to quickly locate those securities you track regularly,
you may want to specify a portfolio you have saved previously, or create
a new one. You can select both a portfolio and a ticker to search by.
Combining these search criteria does not add the company symbol to the
portfolio.
- Days Back
Specifies a date
to use when searching for headlines. For example, if you select 38
days back, the system searches for headlines submitted only on those
days.
