Looking up ticker symbols
  1. Click the Search tab, then the Quick Search tab.
  2. Click .
  3. Select either Company Name or Ticker Symbol to indicate the search association.
  4. Select either Starts With or Matches Exactly to specify whether the text you are typing is an exact match or if it is the first few letters of a company name or ticker symbol.
  5. In the Search For box, type the company name or ticker symbol that you are searching for.
  6. Click to obtain relevant matches.
    The number of ticker results is displayed beneath the results box.
  • You must enter the exact "legal" company name when performing an exact match lookup.
    For example, if the legal company name includes the prefix "The" and you omit this prefix, your lookup returns 0 results.
  • If you are searching using a Bloomberg ticker, be sure to type a period (.) between the security code and the country code. For example, type TOC.CN to retrieve The Thomson Corporation.
