Understanding your search results

By default, most headlines display the time and date they were received by First Call (based on Eastern Standard Time), the number of pages in the report, the reporting company, and the headline title. To display headlines in your local time, adjust your product preferences accordingly. To view a Note or document , simply click on the headline. To save the research, click the icon next to the Note or document.

To read a Research Direct document, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your desktop. When you open the document, it is displayed in a new browser window.

If, at any time, you want to review your search criteria, you can click Criteria Detail View in the Your Search Results box. This opens the box and displays all of the returned search criteria (for example, the specified tickers, number of headlines to retrieve and the date range). If you are performing an advanced search, more information may be available such as analyst names, selected industries, and selected countries.

  • Click the More link at the bottom of your search results to retrieve more headlines on the specified search criteria.
